Hearts & Minds Music, LLC was established to put a song in the heart and develop the mind of every child. By respecting and affirming each child's individual skills and developmental stage, we help every child develop a lifelong love of learning and music. We are pleased to offer the highly-respected and carefully researched Kindermusik® curriculum to the children of our northern-Fairfield County community.
 		 

Toys I Make...Trips I Take

What’s more exciting to a 3 or 4-year-old than a new toy? How about an entire Toy Shop full of toys! And a full toy shop is exactly what Kindermusik Imagine That! families will enjoy this semester.

Toys I Make, Trips I Take is focused on creating a stimulating musical environment that integrates music, pretend play, story telling, movement, and more. Toys I Make, Trips I Take introduces the musical environment of a remarkable toy shop, filled with boats, trains, balls, jack-in-the-box and many other toys that bring a glimmer into a child’s eyes.  This unit leverages a child's pretend play and imagination to focus on singing, steady beat and ensemble music-making, as well as rhythm and rhythmic patterns.  The musical concept of accelerando - in which a beat or rhythm starts slow and gradually increases in pace - is introduced and explored.

The At-home materials set includes 2 CD's with both traditional tunes and multi-cultural selections from around the world, two story books, a miniature Toy Shop play set sure to stimulate many hours of creative play at home, an instrument, and a backpack to carry it all in.
