Studio Policies
Our Guarantee
If you aren't completely happy with your Kindermusik experience after attending at least five classes, we'll refund or credit all of your tuition except for the cost of At Home Materials (which are yours to keep and enjoy) and the annual registration fee, which is non-refundable. Refunds are not otherwise considered.
Enrollment Confirmation
A registration form and payment must be received before your child's place in class will be reserved. If we cannot accommodate your requested time, we will contact you to find out if you prefer to be placed on a waiting list, enrolled in the same class on a different day or time, or offered a full refund.
Holidays
For the Fall 2010, we will be closed on the following holidays: Columbus Day weekend (Oct. 9 - 12), Veterans' Day (Nov. 11), Thanksgiving weekend (Nov. 24 - 28), Winter Break (Dec. 20 - Jan. 2), and Martin Luther King's Birthday (Jan. 14 - 17).
Cancellations & Make-ups
In the event of inclement weather (snow, ice, etc), we will put an announcement on the home page of this website as early as we are able to assess the conditions. Generally speaking, we follow the lead of the Ridgefield Public Schools, but not always. Please check this website home page before heading to class in inclement weather.
Classes will be made up at the end of the semester in the event of teacher illness or inclement weather.
We are happy to allow students who miss a class to make up a class if another class is available, but please schedule the make-up in advance with us. Just check the schedule for the other days and times that your class is held. Also, everyone is welcome to do a make-up at our mixed ages class, Family Time.
Siblings and sibling discounts
Due to limited class size, space constraints and the delicacy of the younger class settings, Village and Our Time classes can only accommodate non-enrolled siblings when the sibling is young enough to stay contented in a car seat, baby carrier (such as a Baby Bjorn) or stroller. Emergency exceptions are considered.
A tuition discount of $35 is given for the 2nd child enrolled in the same class as a sibling (unfortunately, this discount is not available for ABC Music & Me classes). If paying by credit card, please use the sibling add-to-cart buttons when checking out. If paying by check, please subtract $35 from the regular class fee.
A tuition discount of $20 may be taken for the 2nd child enrolled in a different class. Ask about home materials discounts if you have home materials for the current unit from a previous enrollment. Unfortunately, our online credit card system cannot yet accomodate these discounts. If you qualify for one or the other and wish to pay with credit card, please let us know and we can charge your card in the studio.
Payment Policy
For fall/spring programs, we now offer three payment options:
a) Payment in full at time of registration, payable via our online credit card system or check
b) A deposit of 25% due at registration to hold a spot in class, with the balance due on or before the first class, payable via check or with credit card (in our studio or over the phone)

Checks should be made payable to "Hearts & Minds Music, LLC". A check returned unpaid (for any reason) will be charged $25.
Registration Fee: An annual non-refundable registration fee of $20 per family is required. Please add this to your payment check or Paypal shopping cart (if paying in full with credit card.) For those families putting down a deposit or using the flexible payment plan, this fee is due with the deposit payment.
